CANHEIT, the only national conference for higher education IT professionals in Canada, brings together over 400 IT leaders, decision-makers, and professionals to connect, share, discuss challenges, and explore new ideas, technologies, and opportunities. Hosted each year by a CUCCIO member institution, CANHEIT is the not-to-be-missed event in the higher education IT calendar. Host institutions roll out the welcome mat and offer colleagues a chance to get away from the office and immerse themselves in keynotes, themed presentations, panels, impromptu networking opportunities, and social events.
University of Prince Edward Island
Featuring a place, people, and culture that has considerable experience at making those who “come from away” feel welcome, the University of Prince Edward Island will host CANHEIT on our beautiful campus in Charlottetown for the first time. CANHEIT 2014 in Prince Edward Island will combine high tech and down home in a way that will leave all those who participate with many unique, positive, and long-lasting impressions.
The theme for CANHEIT 2014, “Mutually Inclusive” speaks to the myriad of roles that IT and IT professionals play, both in their individual institutions and across the Canadian higher education sector including:
Supporting enterprise IT and addressing the personalization of IT
Advancing corporate goals and the needs of the academy
Enabling business processes and leveraging advances in technology.
Being strategic and delivering services today.
There are few aspects of our institutions, the Canadian higher education sector or the IT industry with which we are not engaged.
